Because mobile screens are smaller there are some specific settings you can do for the behavior of the chat bar on mobile devices:
- On a mobile device, e.g. a smartphone or tablet, the chatbox opens in a new window/tab of the browser.
In the Control Panel you can adjust the Chat Bar settings for behavior on mobile devices:
Show or Hide the eye catching image on mobile devices
Chat bar visibility: always visible – visible when online – always hidden.
In the Translation/Localization menu of the Control Panel you can enter specific texts for the chat bar on mobiles, usually shorter texts than applied for PC browsers.
Please note: these settings apply to the default chat bar. If you have a custom implementation in your website, it might not work.
