Changing the Live Chat Requests Time Out settings can be done in the menu Account Settings in your Control Panel.
In this menu you can enter the number of seconds for:
- Chat Request Timeout: The time (in seconds) the visitor will wait for an agent to accept the live chat conversation until he is presented with the “Leave a Message” screen
- Agent Chat Request Notification Timeout: The time (in seconds) an agent may accept the live chat request until it passes to the next agent.
- “Apology for taking too long” Timeout: While the visitor is waiting for an agent to assist him, he will receive an apology message that will ask him to wait a bit longer. This timeout (in seconds) should be near the half of the chat request timeout.
